Haunted Carriage Tour at the Henry B. Plant Museum

A Moonlit Carriage Ride Through Tampa’s Most Legendary Landmark

Step aboard a private horse-drawn carriage and experience the darker side of historic Plant Hall, home of the Henry B. Plant Museum.

As you travel beneath the building’s iconic minarets and along its shadowed walkways, you’ll hear stories inspired by the legends that have surrounded Plant Hall for generations. Tales include a professor whose presence is said to linger near the towers, doors that mysteriously lock and unlock during late-night rounds, the sound of unseen cart wheels, and unexplained cold spots throughout the building.

Each carriage is reserved for your private group and seats up to four guests. Children small enough to ride on an adult’s lap do not count toward the four-seat limit.

Browse the haunted stories below, then select an available departure time to reserve your carriage.

When the sun goes down, Plant Hall’s history does not always stay in the past.

Haunted Legends of Plant Hall

Students and staff have reported hearing the squeak of cart wheels followed by a passing breeze—even when no one else is nearby.
